Copyright and DMCA

Last updated October 9, 2026

Our policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. Customers are responsible for the documents they upload. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate cases.

How to send a takedown notice

Send a written notice to our designated agent (details below) that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. a description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
  3. a description of the material you say is infringing and where it is, with enough detail for us to find it;
  4. your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
  6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Because most content in TriMatch is private to a customer's workspace, we may forward your notice to the customer concerned.

Counter-notice

If material you uploaded was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent with: your signature; identification of the material and where it was before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original sender tells us they have filed a court action.
